nite uv the shaman

Tuesday, July 22, 7–9pm at Yaletown Gallery

bissett, whose paintings of profound sensual imaginings are showcased, will be on site for an intimate evening of historic video, slideshow, and signings. Featuring the bohemian snapshot of Vancouver c. 1966, Strange Grey Day This by Maurice Embras, recently an exclusive at DOXA festival.

Vancouver’s last chance in 2008 to commune with the celebrated purveyor of arts magiques.

The Yaletown Gallery features legendary Canadian poet/artist bill bissett, in the show Pink Movement, running until the end of July. The astonishing, vibrant paintings, charged with a lyrical benevolence, chart bissett’s career over the years 1980 to present. A living national treasure, celebrated for his unique sense of life, bissett and his paintings represent the wild anarchic exuberance of a man/child at home in a world of beauty, sensuality and joy.

Please RSVP to the free Facebook event if you’re planning on attending.
